Rule of the Jungle Prevails and Extrajudicial Killing Continues

MUSAWA - The Palestinian Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession, is concerned about the risk of the rapid increase in the murdering crimes and, conflicts among families (tribes), for trifle reasons. MUSAWA believes that such trends reflect a dangerous community tendency towards identifying new standards to rule over the daily life away from the official institution. Likewise, it reflects the failure of the institution on the level of thought, performance, and structure and pushes people to lose confidence of the state institutions in general and justice institutions in particular as they failed in providing citizens with security and protecting people’s rights.
MUSAWA stresses that conflicts among families pave the road in the face of comprehensive chaos that might lead to destruct the institution in general and harm citizens’ security and push toward the spread of the jungle rule alongside with loosing values and ethics and pushing towards status of straying. For that, we call upon all those who care about Palestinians unity, security, and human fabric, to lobby decision makers to protect people’s right to exist, as they failed in protecting people’s security and safety. MUSAWA confirms that the most dangerous form of chaos is the community recklessness that will lead to search for other rules of coexistence that could defeat people’s humanity after losing, or about to lose, the elements of unity.

Be Careful and do not leave space for Jenin’s disaster to be repeated.
