The government appears to follow suit of the presidential office or those in charge of making the decree-laws, by issuing and passing regulations behind closed doors without any form of discussion, not even with the representatives of the groups targeted and referred to in its provisions. The most notable examples are the court fees and the Non-Profit Companies’ regulations that represent an important part of the civil society organizations. The non-profit companies’ regulation is a way to assert complete control over it, violating its independency, professionalism and its societal mission, all under the pretense of fighting terrorism.
MUSAWA supports and adopts the statement of the civil society organizations, including the non-profit companies, about the dangers of the regulation and calls for its abolishment, and the abolishment of the court fees’ regulation immediately, and the need to abandon the government’s autocratic, controlling, and hegemonic approach towards civil work. In addition, it demands that the government stops issuing laws that violate the basic law, and the independent and collective rights of the citizens
