MUSAWA, the Palestinian Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession, expresses shock, denunciation, and condemnation over the killing of Abdul Qader Zaqdah today in Tulkarm camp. This occurrred during clashes between security personnel and citizens protesting the removal of barricades put up by the citizens to prevent Israeli occupation forces from storming the camp. MUSAWA emphasizes that the use of force has had and continues to have devastating repercussions, claiming citizens' lives and hastening the descent into an abyss of chaos that undermines individual and group security while also threatening societal unity. It also exacerbates the current state of internal division, leading to further loss of dignity, bloodshed, and factional vengeance.

MUSAWA asserts that the human being is the primary value of our people and that defending and preserving human life and dignity is not only an objective, but also a right that must not be violated or infringed upon. Thus, we stress the importance of putting an end to such practices and policies, and call for the formation of an impartial and independent community inquiry committee to identify and hold the perpetrator accountable.
