A workshop under the title “The Right to Vote and Be Elected” was conducted by MUSAWA and the Palestinian Human Rights Defenders Network (PHRDs) at the headquarters of the General Union of Palestinian Women. 18 women attended the workshop.

During the workshop, lawyers Saja Sa’d and Israa’ Salameh, both members of the PHRDs Network, delivered information on several legal, social and cultural concepts related to voting and being elected, in addition to presenting other data relevant to the subject matter.

This workshop comes as part of a project to empower Palestinian human rights defenders, carried-out by MUSAWA in both the West Bank and Gaza, with the support of the European Union.
